Remembered when I said my days of attending AFA are numbered? Well it seems the day is finally here! AFA 2018, finally its official 10 year anniversary! Been attending this since 2008, used to be very enthusiastic at all the weeboo anime stuff. Gradually, kinda lost all interest in anime. Even if I do watch, its usually those oldie remastered animes or those I used to follow previously i.e. Dragonball Super. However, gave face and attended this event mainly because of the friends that will be there.
Whats new for AFA? We have the red carpet and a plethora of anisong artistes gracing the I Love Anisong concert. SPYAIR made its debut but hardly interested in them. Same with the POP EPIC booth, someone alot of event goers loved the place and it's doodle your own POP EPIC scene. Theres nothing much for me to do honestly. Been way out of touch on the current animes. They do have interesting goods on sale like those movable bunny ears.

Naturally find the idols that did attend AFA2018. For this year its Dear Kiss! This group was first formed in 2016 and consists of Shisima Saki, Yamasaki Miiwa, Saito Rikako, Nonoko and Iyama Maho. One of their accolades was getting number 1 in the Oricon Daily charts and getting to perform in TIF just 4 months after their debut.
I already had Rana's cheki, so why not add her best friend in too? Iyama Maho has lost her blonde non-ahlian hairstyle now. To be honest, I find her adorable with this current style. Overdid at the booth and spent quite lot. From chekis to exclusive sembei sets to playing the "kuji" to nail that elusive "douga" prize. Alot of chekis are spent on Maho though somehow Rikako managed to successfully fish me into parting with more $$.

Performance wise, it seemed decent. Just give them A for effort. They been relentless in promoting themselves, almost everyday up till AFA been posting videos of them coming to Singapore.
Upon the urging of a friend, ended up sending them off at the airport. Since I didn't want to splurge on the expensive taxi fare, overnight at the airport. Well, at least I can see the airport's Harry Potter exhibits without jostling with the crowd.

Since milestone reached, time to officially call it quits on Anime Festival Asia. I cant muster enough interest to attend all 3 days. In fact cancelled a scheduled leave for it. With events at home been too overly saturated with cosplay wheneve you affix "J-Culture", I cant help but feel slightly annoyed. That being said, it seems the only places that'll arouse my interests would be overseas events. Sadly it'll be numbered too since I've stated to stop all idoru chasing activities by end next year.
