Natsuiro Party Final Live

Gah, 2019 is a horrid year. Not only I have to contend with Yuechi's graduation, even my favourite local cover group is disbanding! Yeap, Natsuiro Party's final live. After 3 years of Triangle Dreamer, Joudan Janai and other earworm worthy songs, this is it. Disband! Bye Bye. Sotsugyou Omedetou!

I wanted to do writeup for this post the same way I did for EOY 2017: Writing my drafts in real time. However this time is not possible as I just changed to a new phone and had no time to be accustomed with the blogger settings on mobile. So another late blog post imminent!

Of course, first thing first, I have to register my attendance. Didn't opt for the final live T-Shirt. Its kinda taboo for me to buy a shirt for someone's last idoru event (unless its part of a ticketing package i.e where tickets included a T-Shirt).

Personally, since its their final, there wont be any more opportunity for me to wear it again in a LIVE event. And I dont have the heart to turn it into my sleepwear. (exception is Momo T-shirt coz the cutting rabak, thankfully no dream of her scolding me)

A week prior, Hikarin previewed Natsuiro Party's original song. Perhaps they would perform it during the live? Guess a preview is in order so that we can better prepare the MIX should it debut.



Had an overnight fishing session prior to the live and to be honest, I was very very groggy. Had only 2 hours of sleep, if you consider that SLEEP at all. Had some hiccups packing my stuff and preparing their gifts, naturally will be royally late arriving at the venue. Even as I used GRAB there, got myself lost finding the venue.

Thankfully live started late. Yippee~

First song. Colourful Starlight. A song from another disbanded group Cheeky Parade. I let the chikipa fans do the mix.  Next was Wasuta's Ultra Miracle Final Ultimate Choco Beam. Ah, a familiar song, now I felt awake!

It was all good until comes Nanimoiranai. Why? Because not many knows the MIX. All eyes were fixated towards me, wanting me to lead.

Its tough reciting the darn Sakuma mix alone. To be honest, I dont know what element to use for members of Natsupa. Should it be "Kuma, Apple, Alpaca, Sunny??" Gahhh. And theres a part where you need to recite a silly magic spell of sorts that goes "don don chi chi..." OK, video below shows you an example how.




Some time after, we were treated to a mini video. There, they had to do a challenge, where a random song snippet would be played and they have to do the dance routine corresponding to that song. Once song finished, another one will be played and the next member would continue. Complete 10 songs, and a surprise will be given in the end. Break the chain, they will be "hammered" and have to restart all over. It was very comical to see Miki kept failing. In the end, with some amendment to the rules, they managed to complete the challenge and had a surprise for us, which will be revealed in the second video later.

We were treated to individual member's solo performance soon after. Most memorable was Momo singing Ari no Mama De (Japanese version of Frozen's Let it Go). Watching her antics with Frozen backdrop behind was priceless. Michi sung a song by Maneki Kecha, while Miki and Hikarin performed a song from The Hoopers and Ready To Kiss respectively.

During the solo performance, we noticed that each member wore their previous event costumes.

Afterwards was another medley of familiar songs. Mostly from FESTIVE. Ex-member Kamiya even joined in! Whoooaaa! The full original lineup are on stage! Then live ended with the very first song that they performed as a group: Yumemiru Adolescence's JUMP.

Well, if you know how One Man Live works, there's always an encore. With shouts of an encore, the 2nd half of the surprise video was played. Yeap, its an MV of their original song!

Immediately afterwards, all members went out to Maneki Kecha's Kimiwazurai which was followed by their original song Natsuiro Party. Its seems they did the choreography last minute. Well its our first time watching it performed live, so we did our MIX on the fly too.




Last song was Triangle Dreamer. Just like that, its all over.

The whole setlist is like a time capsule of sorts. Its mainly the songs that they performed at least once in each of their live appearances. Brought some wonderful memories, especially those songs from Ready To Kiss. Did you know they once performed together with Ready To Kiss on stage too?

Bought signed chekis and snagged some photosets because buying non-cheki goods up to 10SGD entitles you to one group cheki. And with one group cheki, you'll be given a chance to win their signed shikishis. Additionally, I felt regret not giving Yuechi a letter during her final performance, to avoid being disappointed again, gave all NTP members one each together with a plushie.

And someone bought their poster board for 100SGD... whoaaaa

Also gave my own idoru goods to people. These CDs has been taking up space, need to do some clearance. Amazingly alot of people snagged them even some seems really outdated.

We even have Thailand's Chone-bi members in the crowd too! Mogo and Bee Bee was in attendance together with Malaysia's King Sultan TO Idoru Fan Nubu-san.

In all, this Last Live isn't as harsh as the other Last Live I attended for someone in May. In fact its like a celebration of sorts as it connects us to them even closer. We aren't angry, just happy that we can be with them on this amazing journey from start till finish. In all, we wish all members of Natsuiro Party all the best in their future endeavours!
