TIF 2016 Day 1 - Lets Gachikoi!

I had an exhilarating time during TIF2016. Not only its held on 3 days, there are a number of groups who will be debutting at this event for the first time!

Day 1

Off from Ariake to TIF!

As with last year, those overseas fans who applied free tickets via TGU will have to redemn their wristbands at the Smile Garden info area. Thankfully, my accomodation is within Odaiba, thus wont rush and jostle with other idol fans on the Yurikamome line from Shimbashi. My initial plan for Day 1 is to settle performances, then Day 2 will be settling the Buppans.

First order of the day, head to HOT Stage (Now indoors at Zepp Tokyo) for Niji No Conquistadors! Went to the venue early and we witnessed Osaka Shukanshuto perform. They're not bad and I bookmarked them as the next idol to research. Afterwards Nijicon takes centrestage! They performed a number of songs including the legendary Triangle Dreamer! Well, experience kinda marred by appearances of 'wild wotas' but in the end, them 'wild wotas' joined us for the gachikoi. As a memento, gets 'strangled' by one of them LOL.

Once done, I rushed to the greeting area to meet Akishibu Project. Alas their handshake session was over. Thankfully some of the members passed fliers around and I got Yuechi to notice me again. Yes! Next on agenda, choosing between Stereo Japan and Ryukyu Idol.

I opt to see Stereo Japan at the Dream Stage first and leave after they perform 2 songs. At least then I will have a 5 mins grace period to rush to Festival Stage. Members of Stereo Fukuoka performed first and I was surprised to see Saionji behind the DJ table instead of Yurina. And sounds of vuvuzelas resonate the area. Yes, VUVUZELAS! Who the heck made this as official Stereo Japan goods. Rushed off after getting a glimpse of Stereo Tokyo members and head to Ryukyu Idol.

RYUKYU IDOL WERE AWESOME! And similar to the youtube videos I've seen, their fans were crazy. I mean, which performance you can see wotas running in circles around the gundam statue? LOL

Next is visit to the SHIP stage. Man, its quite a distance from Festival Stage, need to walk and cross the main road. Was there mainly for TGU's Special Stage Event. SeeDream, Nijicon (Triangle Dreamer again!), Wasuta, Iketeru Hearts and even Taiwan's Mirai performed for this stage. Apart from SeeDream, its kinda like IDOLIDGE Taiwan and Anime Festival Asia all over again.

Headed back to Diver City for a quick smoke and get some of my friends to see Mai Kotone perform at Festival Stage. She kinda cram loads of songs in that short performance of hers, however once her signature song Dreamscape starts, everyone went ballistic. Yeap, Dreamscape still gave me goosebumps though its quite tame for this performance.

Hang around the Greeting Area again, this time get myself some Stereo Japan goods. 2-shot with Chihana and Saoinji though the cheki camera comes out flushed white.

Cute Saionji!

I dont know what possessed me, but went inside the HOT Stage again with some Malaysian wotas. AHHHH! KOBUSHI FACTORY ON STAGE! Time for some Hello Pro songs~

My 24hrs of not sleeping kicks in (yeap didnt sleep the day before, reason being going to venue). The flashing strobe lights were too much and I head outside. Contacted my other set of friends and head to the Smile Garden. Group that were playing later? PASSCODE and Bellring Shoujo Hearts.

Smile Garden was pure chaose especially at Bellring Shoujo performance. Climax was when they perform Asthma.

So there you have it, first day report for TIF2016. Overall 1st day has been hectic but its all good!
