ANI1773 Event & J-Obsession: Lets Have a Natsuiro Party!

Its been 2 months this blog has seen activity. Fret not! I'm going to update a chuckload of articles, mostly on awesome events that happened during those 2 months. First up, will be a feature of the idoru cover group Natsuiro Party!

Natsuiro Party Debut! ANI1773 Dance Party

Natsuiro Party (or Natsupa for short) made its debut on this event, the ANI1773 Dance Party @ CJ Bar. Prior to the event, they been teasing with profiles of their group members. Their youtube was uploaded with random song covers. This group is made up of 5 amazing ladies. They are Hikarin, Miki, Michi, Kamiya and MoMo. They are represented by the colours Orange, Pink, Blue, Yellow and Red respectively. You can head over here to know more of their group >>> LINK.

ANI1773 Dance Party is Japan sub-culture themed clubbing/ party event with Anisong as the main theme. Frankly its my first time attending such as event. Various DJs belt out tunes from anime, gaming and even idoru. Its quite an experience, because you are swaying to these tunes instead of the usual clubbing ones. Was engaged by Natsupa producer to helped out with the videoing and was fitting to try my new camera gear bought day before. To generate buzz for their debut, whoever preordered event tickets from their FB page, will be entitled to a free cheki with a single member. Furthermore, once they reached their target goals, a free photo will given to everyone in addition to the cheki!

Because of where it was held, the environment makes it seem you are attending an actual underground idol event in Japan. It was sure fun to listen to wota chants and mixes resonate in this closed area.

Not only Natsupa were there, Reina'07 performed in venue too! In this video, she did a cover from my favourite Hello! Project member, Tanaka Reina!

To add on to the idol feel, they held cheki sessions and even selling of their merchandise. These were done before and after their performance, and boy their queue was long!

J-Obsession 2016

Natsupa were also invited for the J-Obsession in Cathay event. This is an annual event that showcased the musical talents of our local J-Music community. There were lots of amazing talents on show at The Cathay shopping complex, the place where event was held.

Its a 3 day event but my commitments only allowed me to attend Day 3. And it was good because Natsupa were scheduled for that day. Again, engaged for videoing and this time did something new!

It was great to do collaborative work with Joshua and the Roaming Dog team. Thus we are able to produce the multi-cam version of Natsupa performance, something which we are all proud of. Video above shows their full performance.

The members then gamely posed for photos with the crowd. I even have some 'triangle shots' with the members~

Hikarin

As of writing, member Kamiya would be on hiatus for a year. Thus for now, Natsupa will be a 4-nin group. Lets see what other covers they will be doing for their next appearance!
